In a kingdom, the constitution is the king’s covenant with the people within his kingdom. It contains the desires of the king for his people – his citizens – in his kingdom. Within the kingdom, all power resides within the king. The constitution of the kingdom is the documented will, desire, and intent of the king for his kingdom. It sets out the priniciples that the kingdom will operate. It establishes the manner and conditions in which the king relates to his people and they to him.
The consititution is a royal contract that the king has with his people. It is not a contract with the people to the king. The king establishes the convenant not the people. The king is the government, authority and power of the kingdom. The people have no authority or power unless the king gives it to them.
In the Kingdom of Heaven, this constitution is called the Bible. It is the doumented and expressed will and intent of God the King of the Universe. This constitution establishes the terms, conditions, and rights of life in the Kingdom of Heaven. This leads to laws that are designed with the expressed purpose of ensuring that all of those terms, conditions, and rights are preserved, protected, and accomplished.
This constitution is the will and testament of the King. A will is the mind of a person – his desire and intent. A testament is the physical documented will of a person in a legal format. Thus the will is in the head while testament is the legal document of what is in the head.
The Bible is comprise of God’s documented thoughts in 66 different books. It is His thoughts, expressed will, desires, and intent for mankind. The Bible has two testaments — the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament was the old way of relating to mankind from the King before the Cross. The New Testament is the expressed intent of the King toward His people because of the Cross and the coming of the Son of God to restore the kingdom mankind lost.
This is why we can now take the Bible and say before the King and say, This is what my King guaranteed me. The King says back, According to My Word, be it done unto you.
