John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
This biblical verse is the Gospel in a nutshell. This is the good news of the whole Bible, that even Jesus told His disciples about. God loved the world – us! — so much that He gave His Son – a part of Himself to satisfy the blood requirement of the law.
He gave His Son, Jesus the Christ — the Messiah. Jesus gave Himself for the love He had for us as well. Both God the Father and the Son sacrificed Jesus for the blood atonement that was required because of Their love of mankind. They did this to redeem mankind from the darkness and to live forever with Them in the Kingdom of Heaven for all eternity. But in order for that to happen, each person has to individually believe in Jesus and what He did on the Cross. We need to believe that Jesus died on the Cross, He was buried, He was raised from the dead three days later, and then He ascended into heaven, and He is presently awaiting the time to return to earth. We need to confess this truth out loud to the world.
This truth is the main truth that sets us free from all the darkness in the world. Yes sets us free! We are at liberty in Christ Jesus! BUT we are still affected by it because we live in this evil world. But we can trust in the Lord God and He will help us through it like He helped Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in the fiery surface (Daniel 3:19-30)
