Every nation or kingdom have people who are considered citizens. They are part of a privileged group. They are set apart and sacred in the Kingdom of God. Each and every Kingdom citizen is naturalized, meaning they were “born again” into the Kingdom of God.
John 3:3 (NKJV) Jesus answered and said to him, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.
We must be born again in order to enter into the Kingdom of God. Our spirits have to be re-born in order to function in the Kingdom.
Ephesians 2:19 (NKJV) Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.
Philippians 3:20 (NKJV) For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
Colossians 1:12 (NKJV) giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light, 13 He had delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins.
We have been moved from the darkness into the Kingdom of Jesus when we gave our lives to Him. We are no longer strangers to the Kingdom of God. We are Kingdom of God citizens. This is the current reality for every single person who has given their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. We are members of the Kingdom of God because of the Blood of Jesus.
We have dual citizenship. We are still members of the physical reality of the earth. We are still human in a corruptible body. But we are also spiritual beings with a citizenship in the Kingdom of God. This Kingdom is inside of us.
Like 17:20 (NKJV) Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, The Kingdom of God does not come with observance: Nor will they say, See here! or See there!. For indeed, the Kingdom of God is within you.
The Kingdom cannot be observed in the physical realm because it is invisible to the naked eye. It is a spiritual realm Kingdom.
